SmartAuto, founded by a cadre of accomplished executives and architects with a proven track record in the semiconductor industry and business execution, draws on our collective expertise. At SmartAuto, we leverage our profound understanding of gigabit SerDes for Display and Ethernet protocols. Our mission is to design, develop, and deliver multi-domain chips to the automotive industry, facilitating AI integration for the seamless operation of vehicles. Our Visionary Founders
Murty Dasaka
Co-founder and Executive Director of Finance and Operations
Murty, a seasoned veteran in the semiconductor industry, boasts over 30 years of invaluable experience spanning diverse domains of IC design and product development. Having held key management roles at INTEL and Alphawave, he spearheaded cutting-edge technologies across product domains such as CPU, GPU, network processors, and EDA/CAD management, contributing to the creation of extensive IP portfolios.
Beyond his contributions to the semiconductor industry, Murty serves as a business development consultant for international start-up programs and engages in Industry/University research activities. His entrepreneurial spirit extends into various ventures in real estate, hospitality, industrial, and entertainment industries, creating substantial business opportunities for employees and friends alike. This passion continually propels him into new domains, fostering enthusiasm within co-working teams.
Murty holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University, Texas, and an MBA from Santa Clara University, CA.
Prakash Radhakrishnan
Co-founder and Director, Analog Engineering and Architect
Prakash brings over 27 years of experience to SmartAuto Semi, with a rich background in various Analog and Mixed Signal IC Designs, spanning the entire product development life cycle from feasibility study to mass production.
As a founding member of SmartAuto, Prakash previously served as a Senior Principal Engineer at Avivalinks Inc., San Jose. Prior to that, he held the position of Senior Principal Engineer at SiFive, Bangalore, where he successfully executed and delivered multiple DDR/LPDDR and HBM product lines.
Before his tenure at SiFive, Prakash contributed as a Principal IC Design Engineer at Roswell Biotech, San Diego, focusing on high-speed I/O and PLL circuits. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the execution and delivery of the industry’s first sensor chip for DNA sequencing.
Preceding his time at Roswell Biotech, Prakash served as the Principal PHY Architect at Intel Corporation, Santa Clara. There, he architected the industry’s first Combo embedded display port and MIPI PHY, and successfully executed and delivered embedded Display Port and MIPI Display Port to SOC, HDMI Display IP to the SOC, SUPERSPEED USB 10Gbs, and 3.2Gbs FDRAM IO.
Jnaneshwar Madugonda
Co-Founder and Director, Analog Engineering and Execution
An accomplished engineering leader in the semiconductor industry, Jnan brings over 25 years of extensive experience in Analog IP Development, Lead Technical Program Management, and Director Test Chip & SOC Engineering.
Before joining SmartAuto as a founding member, Jnan dedicated 20 years to Intel, contributing significantly to the delivery of 32+ test chips from concept to silicon to power on. His notable achievements include a strong contribution to Serdes IP development and leading IP Development of QPI (Intel), DP, and HDMI. Jnan is credited for his work on Intel’s first Serdes IP and played a pivotal role in its transition to Intel’s first product with Serdes. He possesses in-depth knowledge of Display Port, HDMI IP, and was the first at Intel India to develop this IP. Jnan also spearheaded the LDO organization and led the Test Chip organization. In 2009, he was credited by the then CEO of Intel for developing the architecture for Die-to-Die Serdes PHY.
Jnan holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the National Institute of Technology (KREC), Surathkal, Karnataka, and a Master’s Degree from Manipal Academic Higher Education.
